International re/insurance brokerage RFIB has appointed Stephen Warwick as CEO for reinsurance, Asia-Pacific, effective February 01.
Warwick reports to Kevin Stratton, managing director of RFIB’s specialty unit. Based in Hong Kong, he will lead the establishment of an RFIB office in the city, subject to regulatory approval.
He brings over 35 years of experience in the reinsurance market to RFIB, with a career that began in 1980 at Aon. There, he held several senior positions including CEO of Aon Re Australia, managing director for treaty in Asia-Pacific, and CEO of Greater China for Aon Benfield. In 2016, Warwick left Aon Benfield to become the co-founder of Nine Merchants Re, a Hong Kong-based reinsurance venture.
