China Life Insurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd has appointed Lin Xiangyang (pictured) as CEO, with immediate effect.
According to a statement by the insurer, Lin has almost 30 years’ experience in the life insurance industry, with his most recent role being deputy general manager of China Life Insurance in Fujian Province, China, a position which he had held since 2011. Previous roles include assistant general manager of the agency department at China Life Insurance and sales director of the company’s Fujian branch.
Across his career at China Life Insurance, he has worked in several core functions such as business strategy and planning, sales force and agency management, group insurance, and channel management, the statement added.
Previously, Lin has received several recognitions from the company, such as the Excellent Management Award for the personal insurance channel, which recognises his valuable contributions to the group. He was also one of the handpicked individuals in a renowned talent management programme within the insurance industry in China that distinguishes marketing management talents, the company said.
