Qatar Insurance Company (QIC), an insurer that operates in Qatar and the MENA region, and Alfardan Automotive, a key player in Qatar’s luxury automotive market, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing digital customer experiences for car owners and drivers in Qatar.

The agreement, signed by QIC Group CEO Salem Al Mannai and Alfardan Automotive CEO Dr. Ma’n Alhamawi, will integrate Alfardan Automotive’s services into the QIC App, allowing users to access a range of vehicle-related solutions.

Through this partnership, motorists in Qatar will be able to book various automotive services via the QIC App, including car rentals for select brands such as BMW, Mini, Land Rover, and Jaguar. Additionally, users will have access to detailing services, vehicle check-ups, and repairs, covering mechanical, electrical, and tire services at Alfardan Automotive’s facilities.

“This is a major step within our journey towards building the region’s first insurance-powered digital ecosystem, catering to the needs of everyone seeking convenient, reliable, and high-quality digital services,” Al Manni said.

“The QIC App is designed to be a one-stop shop for all drivers and car owners’ needs in Qatar, and I am confident that bringing Alfardan Automotive’s best-in-class services to further customer segments via QIC’s digital channels will mark the beginning of a new era of seamless digital customer journeys in Qatar.”

Alhamawi highlighted the role of digital transformation in the automotive industry, stating that the agreement aims to streamline customer interactions with car services. “This partnership with QIC represents one of our strategic steps to enhance customer experiences by seamlessly integrating advanced technology with our premium services,” he said.

The QIC App earned multiple accolades, including Mobile App of the Year in Qatar at the Insurance Asia Awards 2024. Non-insurance services on the platform are operated by Anoud Technologies LLC.
