AXA XL Insurance has appointed Sylvie Gleises (pictured) as country manager for Singapore, effective September 01.
Gleises is currently global head of revenue synergies and head of client management for Asia-Pacific and Europe. In her new role, she will oversee the insurance operations and drive AXA XL’s go-to-market strategy in Singapore. Based in the company’s Singapore office, Gleises will report to Gilles Fromageot, regional manager for Asia, AXA XL.
In 2006, Gleises joined AXA and has since held several leadership positions – including chief of staff to the group’s former chairman & CEO Henri de Castries, CEO for Continental Europe and global head of distribution & marketing for AXA Art.
“Sylvie’s extensive experience across different business functions and her client focused approach position her ideally to lead our presence in Singapore and work closely with our clients and brokers,” said Xavier Veyry, CEO of APAC & Europe, AXA XL. “I look forward to Sylvie bringing her passion and entrepreneurial spirit to the role.”
It was also announced that Kevin Leong, currently country leader for AXA XL in Singapore, managing director for AXA Singapore commercial lines and chief underwriting officer for AXA Asian Markets, will leave the company to pursue other opportunities.
