AXA Hong Kong and Macau has launched an energy saving campaign that seeks to encourage its customers to save energy and reduce carbon emissions.
According to the company, the promotion seeks to help its customers “go green” and contribute in the fight against climate change.
Eligible customers of AXA’s general insurance plans can win a supermarket e-coupon worth HK$50 if they register on the insurer’s promotion microsite and upload their electricity bill that shows a reduction of the average daily electricity consumption for any month between September and December 2021, compared to the same month in 2020. The promotion will run until Jan. 31.
Policyholders of in-force general insurance plans underwritten by AXA, such as home insurance, travel insurance (annual cover), overseas students insurance, private car insurance, helper insurance and personal accident insurance, can join the campaign.
“We support sustainable development through our product offerings, digital transformation and community activities,” AXA Hong Kong and Macau said. “With our commitments and actions towards sustainability, we have become the first insurer to join the Green Monday ESG Coalition earlier this year to combat climate change for a sustainable and resilient future.”
A few days ago, AXA bolstered its fossil fuel exit strategy by declaring that it will no longer invest in and underwrite new upstream oil greenfield exploration projects, unless they are carried out by companies with the most far-reaching and credible transition plans.
