The challenge was a two-day endurance event that was held in South Korea from May 15 to May 16. Over 30 Aon and other industry colleagues took part in traversing coastal trails of mixed terrain to climb Mount Hallasan, South Korea’s highest peak. During the two-day event, the team collectively raised over SG$150,000 through personal fundraising and corporate donations leading up to the event.
“At Aon, we exist to protect and enrich the lives of those in our community. Through the Jeju Challenge, we are thrilled to give back to the community and raise funds for CCF to help improve the quality of life for children and families impacted by childhood cancer,” Aon Asia Pacific reinsurance solutions CEO George Attard said.
A social service agency based in Singapore, CCF has a mission to improve the quality of life for children with cancer along with their families through the enhancement of their emotional, social, and medical wellbeing. To date, the CCF has helped more than 3,700 children and their families at different stages of illness and recovery.
A recent report from the broker also revealed that around 86% of climate disasters in Asia were uninsured, with losses equivalent to $80 billion.
