Insurance aggregator Networked Insurance Agents (NIA) has announced that it has opened membership opportunities to independent property and casualty agencies across the United States.

Through appointments, the aggregator works with the agencies, especially those with a specific focus on business, home and auto accounts. NIA facilitates broader market access, access to business opportunities with more than 40 national carriers, and professional policy support.

NIA said in a statement that qualified agencies could also leverage the advantages of cluster membership through its subsidiary Direct Access Insurance Services (DAIS). DAIS provides a cluster environment that allows direct access to carrier underwriters.

Either through NIA or DAIS, partners remain independently owned and operated.

“By expanding our footprint across the country, we can support the growth of more insurance professionals. Both of our membership models empower agencies to more effectively compete on each opportunity through access to the world’s leading carriers,” NIA president and chief executive George Biancardi said in the statement.

NIA and DAIS currently have a combined membership of 1,100 agencies concentrated mainly in the Western states.
