Insurance broker and risk advisor Marsh announced yesterday that it has appointed Christopher Schaper as CEO of its MGA business, The Schinnerer Group, effectively immediately.

Schaper will be based in Hamilton, Bermuda and will report to President of Global Risk and Specialties John Drzik.

As CEO, Schaper will oversee the development and advancement of Marsh’s MGA business in the U.S. and Canada, which include Victor O. Schinnerer & Co. and Canadian MGA ENCON. Schaper will also supervise the development of Marsh’s international MGA businesses, and will help develop innovative risk solutions for the company’s clients.

“Chris’ extensive industry and executive experience make him ideally qualified to lead the growth and development of our MGA business,” said Drzik. “We are pleased to welcome him to The Schinnerer Group.”
