Kentucky authorities are investigating an insurance firm and its operators over allegations that it is selling fake policies online.
The Kentucky Department of Insurance is currently working with the Kenton County Prosecutors Office to address reports about Stars Insurance Company, which is said to be using an online channel to peddle fake policies.
The Stars Insurance Company is completely unrelated to the Starr Companies, including Starr Indemnity & Liability Company and Starr Surplus Lines Insurance Company.
Warrants for arrest have been issued against proprietors Michael Fleckinger and his sister Michelle Fleckinger, according to a report by Fox News.
The warrant was issued on allegations that the two were providing quotes on their website for property, casualty, health, and life insurance policies.

Authorities have yet to determine how many of these alleged fake policies have been sold.
Charges have not been filed as an investigation gets underway.
Michael Fleckinger has had previous run-ins with the law for similar concerns. In 2008, he was convicted of committing 13 counts of fraudulent insurance acts for selling 60 auto insurance policies without proper licences.
