Brian Duperreault, known in the insurance industry as a turnaround expert, joined AIG in May 2017 as president and CEO, to improve the company’s overall performance. Previously, the Bermuda-born executive spent four years at the Hamilton Insurance Group as chairman and CEO and had a 30-year career working in senior executive roles at Marsh & McLennan Companies, ACE Ltd and AIG, where he started his career. Duperreault is also currently serving as the chairman of Attune, a data-enabled company established by Hamilton Insurance Group, AIG and Two Sigma, and was formerly chairman of the Board of Overseers of the School of Risk Management at St John’s University in New York. He’s also a board member for a number of organisations and companies including Boards of the International Insurance Society, the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Studies, Johnson Controls, Partnership for New York City, the Geneva Association and St Joseph’s University.
