Katy Bradica
AXA XL

Katy Bradica currently serves as Chief Pricing Actuary at AXA XL. Previously, Katy was Head of Pricing, Long Tail Risks for AXA XL after a brief tenure at AIG, where she held the role of Chief Actuary, North America. She first joined XL in 2006 and successfully worked her way up through several senior positions including Head of Insurance Pricing for North America. Katy began her insurance career at Chubb as an actuarial trainee.

In her role as Chief Pricing Actuary, Katy leads a team of actuaries and data scientists dedicated to improving risk selection and pricing. She is responsible for developing and delivering AXA XL's technical pricing and portfolio management capabilities for its global insurance business. While it was her passion for analytical problem solving and mathematics that attracted her to insurance, Katy has remained in the industry because it constantly provides her with opportunities to continue learning.

Katy is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. With twenty years of actuarial experience in casualty, property and professional lines pricing and reserving, Katy is regarded as a trusted business partner with strong analytical skills executing complex business solutions with a proven track record of helping business lines improve profitability.

In addition to her pricing and actuarial expertise, Katy is known for her very active role in Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, and current serves as the Executive Sponsor for RISE, a Business Resource Group dedicated to developing colleagues from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups. Earlier in her career, she helped launch a Diversity and Inclusion Actuarial Committee to help accelerate the development and advancement of a more diverse workplace and Actuarial community in North America at AXA XL. Katy also led the Global Actuarial Talent Development and Recruiting Team Strategy and developed the Global Actuarial Rotation Program and Actuarial Career Framework. Additionally, she assisted with the launch of a chapter of AXA XL women's network in her local office.  You'll also find Katy volunteering for the community partnership she launched with a local STEM academy, which provides students with a one-week summer program in AXA XL's office.  

Katy earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
