More than 20 years ago, Lisa Rodriguez started her insurance career in an entry-level position and worked her way up to a broker position within six years, taking on a small book of business, which she has since grown to over $1 million. She joined Alexander Morford & Woo in 2000, which merged with Brown & Riding in 2010. At Brown & Riding, Rodriguez established the company’s small business unit, which is high-volume, low cost and offers high profitability for the organization.
Specializing in monoline sexual abuse coverage for high-risk clients, such as baseball teams, synagogues, etc., Rodriguez also focuses on non-profit organizations as well as private company EPLI. In addition, she is the practice leader of Brown & Riding’s non-profits - human services specialty, a team designed to address the specific needs of the human/social services sector.
Rodriguez routinely teaches continuing education courses on EPL and management liability and is an expert on the D&O exposures plaguing non-profit organizations. Furthermore, she has been teaching CE courses for 15-plus years, is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) and has mentored many entry-level staff during her tenure with the company.
