Insurance services provider Thomas Miller has beefed up its corporate structure, tapping experienced executive David Smith to serve as group risk & compliance director.
Smith makes the switch from Just Group Plc, where he held the position of enterprise risk director, and brings with him more than two decades of know-how from roles related to corporate governance and risk. He spent time at the likes of Partnership Assurance, KPMG, and Savills.
“Appointing David continues the group’s investment in building a corporate structure and senior management team, capable of achieving the ambitious business objectives we have set for the company,” said Thomas Miller chief operating officer Ann Haugh, who came onboard in January. “David’s role reflects the importance we place on corporate governance and risk management.
“We welcome him to the team.”
The new group risk & compliance director will report to Haugh and will be in charge of coordinating regulatory activity across Thomas Miller.
