The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Louisiana (IIABL) has donated $50,000 to the risk management and insurance program of the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM), providing students with better opportunities.
According to an article by ULM News Center, the grant was made by IIABL board of directors president Johnny Beekman III. Beekman reportedly said the donation would help further the education of students.
“Education is a personal goal of mine,” he noted. “Education is the key to the future.”
Meanwhile, risk management and insurance program director Christine Berry told the publication she was grateful that the program was able to receive this donation.
“We are extremely honored by this commitment to continue to support and grow the ULM RMI program,” Berry said.
