Global insurance and reinsurance broker, Ed has licensed Ultimate Risk Solutions’ (URS) financial risk modelling software to help design bespoke risk mitigation solutions for its clients.
The software, Risk Explorer, will allow Ed to model its clients’ portfolios and evaluate large numbers of potential (re)insurance structures quickly and efficiently. The idea is that clients will benefit from the insights into their exposure to loss volatility, enabling them to better manage their capital and increase their return on equity.
“We can now rapidly process huge amounts of data to help us understand the risk hotspots in our clients’ portfolios, and design (re)insurance solutions that optimise our clients capital efficiency,” Ed Group chief actuary Jonathan Tilman said.
