A third Canadian brokerage has joined the ranks of the Global Broker Network, which can count carriers, suppliers and underwriters among its ranks.

Firstbrook Cassie & Anderson Limited (FCA Insurance Brokers) announced that is has joined the worldwide insurance network, with headquarters in Chicago, Ill. and London, England, and representation in more than 85 countries around the globe.

“FCA is delighted to be part of GBN and its vision.  Increasingly, businesses possess a global view and they need insurance advisors who share that perspective,” says John van Bilsen, chairman of FCA Insurance Brokers. “With our experience in the international market, at FCA we believe that GBN is a key new partner for us to deliver solutions for both Canadian and global businesses, wherever they operate.”

CMW Insurance Services Ltd. of British Columbia and Iridium Risk Services are the other two Canadian members of GBN.

“Though the broker base is our root,” says Jamil Bahou, chairman of GBN Worldwide, “we are very excited at the direction GBN has taken and believe that we have set ourselves apart from other international insurance networks by creating a multi-dimensional umbrella for organizations with interest in transacting the business of risk internationally without borders and at a click of a button.”

Bahou describes GBN Worldwide as the first truly global international insurance ‘ecosystems,’ and is poised for further growth in the next 12 months.
