AUSTIN, TX
— The Division of Workers’ Compensation is hosting a regional workplace safety workshop August 12 in Austin to help insurers and employers learn how to avoid common workplace injuries and comply with federal safety requirements.
The workshop provides agents an opportunity to network with clients and potential clients as well as the chance to offer clients a value-added service.
The workshop will cover:
- Components of an Effective Accident Prevention Program
- Requirements of a Comprehensive Hazard Communication Program
- OSHA Written Programs and Training Requirements, and
- Walking and Working Surfaces, Exit Routes and Emergency Plans
