NEXT Insurance has introduced a new workers’ compensation (WC) coverage option designed for small businesses operating multiple locations within a single state.
The offering allows single-entity business owners with multiple locations to purchase WC coverage under one policy, eliminating the need for separate policies for each location.
The company said that the addition of multi-location WC coverage is aimed at simplifying the insurance process for small business owners. The service provides online policy binding and management, enabling business owners to update and manage their coverage for multiple locations at any time. The offering also allows agents and partners to sell NEXT policies to businesses that may need to adjust coverage as they expand.
“Until now, entrepreneurs have struggled to manage multiple locations and scale their operations with the right protection and, ultimately, the peace of mind that coverage offers,” said Jack Ramsey, VP of Agents at NEXT. “Multi-location for workers’ compensation will simplify coverage options for small businesses with multiple locations, saving them valuable time managing their policies.”
The company said the coverage is available through NEXT’s digital platform, which allows small business owners to access a streamlined application process. Business owners can obtain a quote and purchase a multi-location WC policy through the company’s website, an agent or an embedded partner platform.
By offering a fully digital experience, NEXT said it aims to reduce administrative burdens associated with policy management. Small business owners can update policy details, make changes as their business grows and manage coverage for all locations from a single platform.
The service is designed to accommodate businesses that frequently expand, ensuring their insurance coverage adapts alongside their operational needs, the company said.
Throughout the years, the company has enhanced its offerings for small businesses. In 2023, it launched a commercial umbrella/excess liability coverage offerings for small businesses, as well as partnered with LegalZoom to help small business owners create and protect their businesses online. It also launched the Certificate of Insurance (COI) Analyzer, which makes it easier for business owners to generate free and custom-made COIs.
