Atlas General Insurance Services has announced a significant enhancement to its portfolio with the introduction of a new workers’ compensation insurance program in collaboration with Sompo International.
This revamped platform offers an expanded range of workers’ compensation classes, exceeding 400 in number, encompassing sectors such as contractors, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, transportation, and various other industry classes.
Atlas also iterated its commitment to delivering exceptional service standards, enabling online rating capabilities, providing loss control services, and ensuring outstanding claims handling. Initially, the program is available in California, with ongoing efforts in collaboration with Sompo International to extend coverage to additional states.

By combining Atlas’ extensive underwriting and marketing capabilities with Sompo International’s deep underwriting expertise and exemplary services, we are confident that this new association will provide the highest quality workers’ compensation product options to our customer base,” Atlas area president Mike Matthews said.
Elsewhere for the international carrier, Sompo International recently announced the appointment of Margaret Hyland as president of North America reinsurance.
