Global insurance brokerage Hub International Limited has announced that it has acquired the assets of CBIS, which does business as In-Fi. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
In-Fi was founded in 2016. The company has developed a distribution platform for financial institutions that utilizes technology and automation to monetize high-volume, low-premium insurance placements. The platform also established lead generation through fulfillment, service and renewal.
The acquisition is the latest in Hub’s M&A spree. Last month, it acquired Rhode Island-based RIMS Insurance Corporation. The global brokerage has also made several Canadian acquisitions in recent months, including Alberta-based Clarity Benefits Group.
