An insurance technology incubator has announced a partnership with an international law firm.
Hartford InsurTech Hub has selected Clyde & Co to serve as its exclusive legal partner. The law firm will provide the start-ups participating in the insurtech program with professional advice on any legal issues they might have. Some of the legal issues that Clyde & Co can advise on include (but are not limited to) incorporating in different jurisdictions and doing business in a highly regulated industry.
The Hartford InsurTech Hub is powered by Startupbootcamp. The program already has numerous partners signed on to help budding insurtechs, including Cigna, The Hartford, Travellers, USAA, White Mountains Insurance Group, and CTNext.
“We are elated to welcome such a prestigious law firm as Clyde & Co on-board as our newest collaborator,” said Startupbootcamp InsurTech CEO Sabine VanderLinden. “The wealth of specialist insurance knowledge that the Clyde & Co team brings will be invaluable and a great fit to deliver much needed legal expertise to the startups.”
The arrangement comes months after independent claims management solutions provider Crawford & Company became the latest partner to join the Hartford InsurTech Hub.
