CAC Specialty has announced the appointment of Eric Joost (pictured) as executive vice president and chief technology and global markets officer.

Joost has more than 30 years of industry experience, with expertise in a wide range of insurance products, markets and client segments. He also has deep knowledge in bridging legacy platforms and new technologies across broking operations, CAC Specialty said.

Prior to CAC Specialty, Joost worked at several global firms. He has served as senior vice president at Allianz Global Risks, COO at Willis NA, and, most recently, global head of property and casualty at Willis Towers Watson.

“I am thrilled for the opportunity to join the CAC Specialty team,” Joost said. “I’m excited to work with the talented team of professionals they have assembled and to lead the efforts in bringing innovative technology solutions to their clients.”

“Bringing the best talent in the industry to our clients and prospects is one of our core principals,” said CAC Specialty Chairman Paul Sparks. “Eric is a great addition to our team, and we are confident his spearheading our technology efforts will enable execution of more informed and effective risk and financing decisions for our clients.”

“Eric is already an established leader in our industry and is a further demonstration of our commitment to seek out and attract leading talent,” said CAC Specialty CEO Mike Rice. “Having Eric head our technology efforts reinforces CAC Specialty’s plan to put everything we do in a technology-rich environment, where all of our decisions are informed by leading data and analytics tools developed with the brightest minds in the insurance and technology world.”
