In his new role, Whayling will be chief underwriter for AGCS’s live events, sports and contingency businesses. He will lead the technical underwriting and be responsible for the global live entertainment products, which help protect organizers, promoters, performers, equipment and audience members from the risks that may be associated with live events. Whayling will be based in the London office and will report to Michael Furtschegger, global head of entertainment at AGCS.
Whayling joined AGCS in 2017. Prior to taking his new role, he served as senior underwriter for live entertainment for AGCS’s London and Nordics region. Before joining AGCS, he worked as an entertainment underwriter at ProSight Syndicate 1100.
“I’m delighted Mark is assuming this role leading live entertainment for AGCS globally,” Furtschegger said. “His experience and knowledge of live events and sport insurance will ensure we continue to be best placed to help our clients worldwide with their live entertainment coverage needs. I very much look forward to continuing to work together in his new capacity.”
