Property and casualty insurance firm Westfield has named Andy Rose (pictured) as vice president of small business.

With over 20 years of experience in small business insurance, Rose will oversee Westfield’s small business operations, aiming to drive profitable expansion by collaborating with independent agents in providing tailored risk management solutions to small businesses across the US.

Before joining Westfield, Rose served at Main Street America, where he successfully managed a $1 billion portfolio. His career also includes key leadership roles at Chubb and Hartford Financial Services, where he contributed to improved profitability by focusing on small business needs, with expertise in areas such as sales, product development, and team leadership.

Stuart Rosenberg, president of standard lines at Westfield, noted: “Andy’s appointment to this role underscores Westfield’s commitment to advancing our small business capabilities through innovative strategies and strong leadership.

“He is uniquely positioned to lead our small business segment as we continue our focus on profitable growth and market leadership."

Rose, meanwhile, linked his arrival to “such a dynamic time in the company’s evolution,” calling his appointment an “incredible” career opportunity.

“I am excited to work alongside a talented team to deliver a consistent, stable small business experience with solutions that drive growth for independent agencies,” he said.

In addition to Rose’s onboarding, Westfield recently made key leadership changes in its commercial lines division, reflecting the company’s ongoing investment in middle market and agribusiness.

Mark Kidd was named vice president of commercial accounts, responsible for overseeing sales, underwriting, and operations across the two abovementioned segments, while Shawn Leonard will now lead as director of underwriting and sales for commercial lines.
