Miller, the independent specialist re/insurance broker, has announced the appointment of Steve Jolley (pictured right) as chief information officer (CIO), effective Dec. 2.
Jolley brings over 30 years of experience to the role, including more than a decade in board and executive positions within the insurance industry.
Jolley most recently served as group CIO at Lloyd’s broker Tysers for over four years. His previous experience includes CIO roles at Ardonagh Specialty, Price Forbes, and JLT Group, which is now part of Marsh & McLennan.
He has also held the position of group head of business information systems at Lloyd’s Register and serves as a non-executive director at the global IT consulting firm ADROSONIC.
In his new role at Miller, Jolley will report to incoming chief operating officer (COO) Clare Lebecq. His responsibilities include advancing Miller’s technological offerings for clients and developing new internal capabilities to enhance operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
Jolley stated that he is looking forward to joining the team at Miller, noting that the firm’s focus on service, innovation, and international growth.

In other recent developments, Miller has also appointed Satoshi Watanabe as a business development manager for its Japanese operation, Lead Insurance Services Limited.
Watanabe will focus on expanding the non-marine segment of the business, reporting to Tokinori Kono, head of non-marine broking at Lead.
Watanabe joins Miller from Marsh Soken, part of Marsh Japan, where he had worked since 2019, concentrating on business development in non-life insurance. His prior experience includes roles at NiKKO Cordial Securities and AIG General Insurance, where he also focused on business development.
