Global specialty reinsurance underwriter AXIS Capital Holdings has announced the appointment of Cliff Gallant as the new head of investor relations and corporate development.
Gallant transitions to AXIS Capital from Hippo Insurance, where he held the position of vice president of investor relations and corporate development. At Hippo, he was responsible for establishing the investor relations program.
According to his LinkedIn, he also served as the senior vice president of investor relations at National General Insurance. Following the acquisition of National General Insurance by Allstate, Gallant became part of the corporate development team at Allstate. His extensive career in the financial sector includes roles such as portfolio manager at Philadelphia Financial, research analyst at Nomura, and managing director at Keefe, Bruyette and Woods.
In his new role, Gallant will directly report to Peter Vogt, the chief financial officer of AXIS, and join the global finance leadership team within the company.
“Cliff brings expansive insurance expertise, ranging from building and running investor relations programs at insurance carriers to serving as a sell-side research analyst at leading firms. His leadership will be invaluable as we continue to deepen engagement within the investment community and foster understanding of our vision and strategy, all as we further elevate AXIS as a specialty leader,” Vogt said.
In other reinsurance appointment developments, Miller has bolstered its reinsurance team with the addition of Chris Board.
