International re/insurance group Aventum has announced the appointment of Jeff Uden (pictured above) as its new head of learning & development.

Uden brings over 23 years of HR experience to Aventum. He joins from MS Amlin, where he served as Senior Talent & Development Manager. Prior to that, he was Head of Talent at Iceland and held strategic HR roles at Morrisons and Argos.

Aventum praised Uden’s appointment, describing him as a seasoned learning and development leader with the expertise needed to drive people success in a rapidly growing environment. He will collaborate with the wider HR team on Aventum’s holistic talent strategy, including appraisals, engagement, growth and development, culture and performance, training academy, and apprenticeships.

The news of Uden’s appointment also follows Aventum's inclusion in a list of Best Places to Work for 2024 and its certification as a Great Place to Work for two consecutive years. Aventum ranked 12th among large financial services companies nationally on the Great Workplaces List.

David Bearman, CEO of Aventum, commented on the appointment and on how it continues the growth that the company has experienced in the past 10 years.

“We owe this to the incredible efforts of our people,” Bearman said. “Jeff’s appointment further underpins our desire to continually invest in their success. He will oversee the development of our learning programs aimed at empowering our people to reach their full potential, and building a culture of growth and high-performance where anything is possible.”

“I’m excited to join such a progressive organization, fueled by a passion to empower everyone to reach their full potential and exceed expectations. I am deeply committed to learning and development and people-driven success, and cannot wait to play my role in ensuring everyone at Aventum can thrive and make meaningful contributions to the Group’s collective success,” Uden said.
