AmWINS Group continues to expand its line-up after completing an acquisition of multiple insurance programs from brokerage giant Willis Towers Watson – a deal we first told you about last month.
The global distributor of specialty insurance products already has more than 4,300 employees across 12 countries with more than $14 billion in annual premium placements and will now look to grow those numbers even further as the programs become part of AmWINS Program Underwriters.

According to a release, the acquired programs involve more than 115 professionals and include offices in Burlington, Vermont; Tampa, Florida; Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Denver, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; Detroit, Michigan; and Hartford, Connecticut. Among them is MountainGuard, which provides underwriting and loss control services for ski resorts throughout North America; and DealerGuard, which includes package coverages for auto, truck and RV dealers.
Terms of the deal for the 15 programs were not disclosed.
