Ryan Specialty, an international specialty insurance firm, has announced the launch of a new practice group focused on specialty, class-specific package business on both an admitted and non-admitted basis.

The new segment will function within the company’s underwriting managers division, Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM).

The new practice group, called Ryan Specialty National Programs, will be led by Shawn Yingling as chief executive officer.

Yingling joined the firm in 2024 with more than 30 years of experience in program development and executive leadership.

“Given his experience in underwriting, product development and distribution, Shawn will be a force multiplier to these businesses by helping drive exceptional results to our valued capital providers and new product innovation to our clients,” said Eric Quinn, president of RSUM.

Ryan Specialty National Programs will consolidate multiple business units, including Irwin Siegel Agency, SUITELIFE Underwriting Managers and the programs acquired through its 2020 All Risks, Ltd. Transaction.

Irwin Siegel specializes in insurance solutions for human and social service organizations. SUITELIFE serves hotels, boutiques, resorts and hotel management companies, while the legacy National Programs division provides coverage for a range of niche industries, including property, casualty and workers’ compensation.

“We feel this association under one operational and leadership platform will bring renewed focus, efficiency and the capacity to innovate in the niche specialty package program segments,” said Miles Wuller, RSUM Global CEO.

In February, RSUM launched Celerity Risk, a new business unit formed from the acquisition of Innovisk Capital Partners in November. The unit is headed by Tom Nash and Carl Pursiano, who each have a significant number of years of experience in professional and management liability.

The unit, which combined CorRisk Solutions and Celerity Pro, focuses on cyber insurance offerings. It also combines CorRisk Solutions’ underwriting expertise and tailored solutions with Celerity Pro’s technology-driven approach and product development capabilities.
