Brown & Riding has announced the addition of Texas-based Wes Benefield (pictured) to its national management & professional liability practice as senior vice president and broker.
Benefield brings over 11 years of experience across retail, carrier, and wholesale in the area of executive lines. His expertise in directors and officers, errors and omissions, and cyber liability will enhance the wholesale insurance brokerage’s capabilities and service to its clients.
Commenting on his appointment in Fort Worth, Benefield said: “I was initially drawn to Brown & Riding because of their commitment to independence and reputation in the marketplace. I am thrilled to join an organization that takes such a long-term, client-focused approach, facilitated by their independent ownership structure.”
Meanwhile, chief operating officer Mike Boseman had this to say about the new arrival: “We’re excited to welcome Wes to Brown & Riding. His diverse experience, expertise in his field, and customer-centric approach make him a great fit. We are confident his passion and commitment to his craft will benefit both our organization and clients alike.”
Aside from management & professional liability, Brown & Riding’s practice areas span amusement attractions & action sports, casualty, construction, energy & environmental, entertainment, financial institutions, franchise industry, healthcare, hospitality, human services, life sciences, mining, product recall & contamination, property, real estate, technology, transportation, underwriting & select accounts, and workers’ compensation.
Earlier this year, the firm added Justin Mansfield and Rina Visconti to its national casualty practice in New York and promoted Bill Stratico to national professional liability practice leader in California.
“I am excited to help expand B&R’s specialization to further increase our ability to offer meaningful solutions to clients, foster even greater confidence with our carrier partners, and ensure that B&R can continue to offer expert service for years to come,” Stratico said at the time.
