Managing general agent Falvey Insurance Group will be raising vital funds for the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) through a charity golf tournament in September.

Called ‘Fore the Pets’, the fundraising event will take place at Richmond Country Club on September 9, featuring a full round of golf, raffles, and a reception. All proceeds raised will go to the RISPCA, the oldest non-profit animal welfare organization in Rhode Island and the third oldest in the country.

Established in 1870, the RISPCA offers essential services, including adoption, rehoming, veterinary care, humane education, and training support. Uniquely, the RISPCA is the only organization in Rhode Island authorized to investigate and prosecute animal cruelty and neglect cases.

Each year, the RISPCA addresses thousands of complaints and collaborates with local law enforcement on animal welfare issues. It is also a leader in humane education, providing programs that promote compassion and respect for animals to both youth and adults.

“We are proud to support the RISPCA in their enduring efforts to protect and care for animals in need,” Falvey Insurance Group chief operating officer Jack Falvey (pictured) said. “This tournament is about coming together as a community to make a significant impact on the welfare of animals across Rhode Island.”

Stephanie Van Patten, RISPCA community engagement director, commented: “We are so grateful to be chosen as the recipients of the proceeds from Falvey’s ‘Fore the Pets’ golf tournament. We have truly appreciated the volunteerism and support Falvey employees have given to the Rhode Island SPCA and the animals we serve.”

Those interested in taking part in the charity golf tournament can register here, while businesses may also support ‘Fore the Pets’ and advocate for animal welfare by way of sponsorship.
