Insurance broker and consultant NFP has announced that it has acquired certain assets of New York state based Dignum & Bame Insurance Agency (D&B). The transaction closed on Dec. 31.
Founded in 1900 and based in East Greenbush, N.Y., D&B is a third-generation property-casualty insurance broker that specializes in serving school districts and municipalities. Robert Dignum, president of D&B, will join NFP as a vice president. He will report to John Murray, managing director in NFP’s Northeast region.
“I’m excited to welcome D&B to NFP,” Murray said. “We’re adding depth to our Northeast operation, enhancing our P&C presence in the area and adding a leader in Bob Dignum, who is highly respected in the municipal sector in New York.”
