Consolidation continues across the US insurance distribution sector, with brokers pursuing targeted acquisitions to expand geographic reach, strengthen sector expertise and add specialist capabilities in both commercial and personal lines.
Three US insurance brokerages have announced new acquisitions as they look to deepen regional reach and bolster specialist capabilities across commercial, personal and niche property markets.
World Insurance Associates LLC has acquired the business of Baldon Insurance Group of Patchogue, New York, effective Jan. 1, 2026. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2000, Baldon has built a strong presence in New York’s commercial market, with a particular focus on hospitality operators, real estate investors and construction-related businesses.
Rich Eknoian, executive chairman and founder of World, said the acquisition strengthens the brokerage’s position in key downstate New York sectors.

Marketplace 4 Insurance (M4I) has agreed to acquire Swann Insurance Agency, an independent agency based in Columbia, Maryland, in a move that expands M4I’s footprint in the Mid-Atlantic.
Swann will join forces with Reilly Insurance Agency, M4I’s existing location in Crofton, Maryland.
Led by principal Joseph “Joe” Swann, CLCS, Swann Insurance Agency has developed a book spanning both personal and commercial lines, including auto, home, life and business coverage for clients across Maryland and the wider region.
Swann’s integration into M4I will give clients access to a broader range of products and carriers, while the agencies aim to maintain the same local presence and service teams. All Swann employees have joined Reilly Insurance Agency and will continue to serve the Columbia-area community under the combined platform.
Existing Swann clients are expected to see a seamless transition, with policies, contacts and service arrangements remaining in place as integration progresses.

Inszone Insurance Services has acquired Park Model-Manufactured Home Insurance Services, LLC, known as PMMH Insurance.
The deal brings a highly specialized manufactured home team into Inszone and marks the launch of a dedicated mobile home division.
Chris Walters, CEO of Inszone Insurance Services, said the acquisition aligns with the broker’s strategy of building out specialist verticals.
“Kody brings decades of invaluable experience in the manufactured home space, and he and Deron have built an exceptional organization that perfectly aligns with our existing offerings,” Walters said. “Because of their deep, specialized expertise, we are building an entire mobile home division out of this team.
