Alliant Insurance Services has announced the appointment of Greg Barnes as executive vice president and managing director for Alliant Specialty. He will be based in Los Angeles.
Barnes is an expert in the private equity and mergers and acquisitions sectors. He has a professional background in investment banking and M&A, Alliant said.
“Greg believes in a very high-touch, consistent and proactive approach to communication with his clients,” said Peter Arkley, president of Alliant Retail Property & Casualty. “As a proven professional leader, Greg has built a rigorous cadence around the due diligence process and optimization of costs and structures, which has been a true differentiator in enabling his success.”

Barnes is the latest in a string of appointments for Alliant. Last month, the company announced the appointment of Tim Vonder Haar and John Caro as vice presidents in its Alliant Americas division. In August, Abe Hawkins joined the division.
