XL Catlin has made some extensive efforts to expand its inland marine insurance capabilities over a considerable period of time, and now it has appointed Russell Crooks as vice president, national inland marine director, based in San Francisco, and Maria Klein as Baltimore’s senior underwriter.
The firm has been making improvements to its inland marine insurance portfolio over the past few years in an effort to widen its marine insurance offering.

The presence of both newcomers at XL Catlin is meant to help serve brokers’ and clients’ varied inland marine insurance needs in areas such as motor truck cargo and logistics inland marine products across the western US.
The P&C insurer is expected to supplement more capabilities to its product and service portfolio in the near future.
