To help facilitate quicker marine insurance claim notifications, XL Catlin has adopted an online claim reporting tool.
The new marine loss reporting tool, powered by RightIndem, streamlines the whole notification of loss process, allowing XL Catlin’s clients in North America to immediately share the details and visual information on an incident to start the claims management process.
“With increasing trade, waterway traffic and construction activities throughout North America, maritime and other related industries are experiencing a considerable increase in activity, driving the demand for quality marine insurance coverage, particularly inland marine coverage in the US,” commented XL Catlin chief underwriting officer for marine in the Americas Anne Marie Elder. “We need to be ready to expeditiously address any potential claims for our growing marine client base and that starts by making it easy for our clients to report a loss.
“The notification process is what gets the ball rolling; it starts the whole claims resolution process,” added XL Catlin head of marine claims – North America, Conor J. Murray.
Murray explained that by adopting the RightIndem platform, XL Catlin’s marine clients can now report any incident in real-time using their computers or even smartphones, allowing the company’s marine claims team to quickly assess the claim and resolve it in a timely manner.
