EPIC Insurance appoints principal to energy and marine practice

EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants has named a new principal, who joins the company’s energy and marine practice.

Jose Palmer has been appointed to the role, and he will report to EPIC managing principal and Southwest Region director KJ Wagner.

Based in Houston, Palmer will oversee new business development, as well as the design, placement and management of P&C insurance programs. He will also provide risk management strategies and solutions for mid-market and large clients, a release said.

With almost two decades of industry experience, Palmer was most recently serving as vice-president at Upstream Brokers, an Acrisure partner company. He served in that role for seven years, supporting clients in the construction and oil/gas sectors. Prior to joining Upstream Brokers, Palmer was also a part of Willis of Texas and MaximGroup.
