Aon expands M&A transaction solutions team

Aon has announced the appointment of insurance veteran Matt Unterlack and tax specialist Ben Gerber to its representations and warranties and tax insurance practices, which are part of the company’s M&A transaction solutions group. The appointments continue Aon’s enhancement of the group.

Unterlack joins Aon as a senior vice president and will be based in New York City. Prior to joining Aon, he served as senior vice president and executive director of indemnification solutions at SRS Acquiom. He has also held positions at QBE and AIG. Before joining the insurance industry, Unterlack was an M&A lawyer at Katten Muchin Rosenmann.

Meanwhile, Gerber joins the company as a vice president and will be based in Chicago. Before joining Aon, Gerber served as a senior tax associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He also has M&A tax law experience from his work as a lawyer, most recently at K&L Gates.
