Alera Group has announced that it has acquired West Michigan Insurance, a property and casualty insurance agency based in Grand Rapids, Mich., with office locations in Shelby, Mich., and Hart, Mich.
Founded in 1924, West Michigan Insurance offers personal and commercial insurance programs, with designated experts in restaurants, farm and crop, non-profit, construction and commercial trucking.

West Michigan Insurance will join Alera Group through local office Lighthouse, an Alera Group company headquartered in Grand Rapids. The West Michigan Insurance team will continue to serve in their existing roles.
