Insurance brokerage Brown & Brown has announced the appointment of a healthcare growth officer and expanded its analytics team.
Brown & Brown has appointed Matthew Siciliani as executive vice president and healthcare growth officer. In this role, Siciliani will assist healthcare organizations to better identify, quantify and mitigate financial risk. He will be based in the company’s Sacramento office.
Siciliani has more than 25 years of experience providing risk financing solutions to healthcare organizations. Prior to joining Brown & Brown, he served as senior vice president of underwriting and business development for Premier Insurance Management Services and the American Excess Insurance Exchange. Before that, he spent 16 years at the Doctor’s Management Company as an underwriting officer.

The company has also added four employees to its analytics team. Hamzeh Gol-Zaroudi has been appointed as a senior CAT modeling analyst, while Scott Kaminski, Caleb Blodgett and Thomas Scott have been named analytics and research and development actuaries.
Gol-Zaroudi will focus on property and energy team initiatives, specifically technical risk quantification research and exposure data strategy. Prior to joining Brown & Brown, he worked in research and modeling. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Islamic Azad University, a master’s in civil engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, and a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Louisiana State University. He is a licensed structural engineer, a licensed professional civil engineer, and a certified event modeler.
Kaminski will focus on risk quantification R&D projects in cyber, D&O, and non-CAT property. Prior to joining Brown & Brown, he worked in financial reporting, predictive modeling, reserving and commercial lines pricing on the carrier side. He has more than 20 years of P&C actuarial experience.
Blodgett specializes in risk modeling for cyber liability. Prior to joining the company, he worked in various data science and actuarial roles at an insurance carrier.
Scott specializes in property and D&O risk modeling. Prior to joining Brown & Brown, he worked at an insurance carrier in a variety of actuarial and analytical roles.
