RT Specialty has announced the promotion of David M. Slaugenhoup (pictured) to vice president within its Environmental and Construction Professional (RT ECP) practice. Slaugenhoup has been with RT ECP since 2013.
“Throughout the past seven years, Dave has dedicated himself to the wholesale insurance marketplace and the best interests of our clients,” said Jeff Slivka, president of RT ECP. “He has earned the respect of this organization and our ever-increasing national network of retail brokers through his deep understanding of the risk management solutions available to alleviate the challenges plaguing this fast-paced, dynamic and sometimes enigmatic marketplace.”
Prior to joining RT ECP, Slaugenhoup spent more than a decade as an environmental consultant. That included serving as remedial investigation leader and vapor intrusion manager at Kleinfelder. He also led efforts to become the first to obtain site-specific groundwater screening levels from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection using the New Jersey-specific Johnson & Ettinger model.
Slaugenhoup holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental research management from Pennsylvania State University and the Construction Risk Insurance Specialist and Registered Professional Liability Underwriter designations.
