Hiscox has announced the appointment of Alannah Paul as vice president and cyber and technology head in the US. In her new role, Paul (pictured above) will focus on refining the company’s cyber and technology products to better serve customers’ needs. She will be based in Los Angeles and will report to Doug Karpp, senior vice president and head of specialty risks in the US.
“Alannah is a fantastic asset to the Hiscox cyber team,” Karpp said. “The cyber world develops at a particularly rapid pace, as criminals become increasingly sophisticated and innovative in their tactics. With her talent and vast industry knowledge, Alannah can keep us, our products and our customers one step ahead through a clear strategy and value-added services.”

Paul joined Hiscox in 2018 as a technology and cyber underwriter. In 2020, she was promoted to technical underwriting lead for technology and cyber, joining the underwriting management team and taking responsibility for refreshing the technology and cyber underwriting process.
