Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Laura Coppola (pictured) as head of casualty and financial and professional liability (FinPro) North America, effective January 27.
Coppola will be responsible for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ FinPro business in the US and Canada, which is comprised of accountants and consultants, agents and lawyers, construction professional indemnity, cyber and technology, executive risks and transaction liability.
Her duties also include repositioning Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in the US casualty market to concentrate on crisis management and general construction liability and providing international programs of non-US clients with excess capacity.

Coppola, who will be based in New York City, has 25 years of insurance experience and has held numerous leadership roles within the industry. Her most recent position was as head of financial lines North America with a big commercial insurer.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stony Brook University, as well as AFSB and RPLU designations.
