State Farm teams are currently in Roswell, New Mexico, assisting customers impacted by the South Fork and Salt fires.
To aid residents recovering from the wildfires, State Farm dispatched its specialized Catastrophe Claims Response vehicles and Customer Response Unit van to distribute water, work gloves, and other essential supplies in the accessible neighborhoods.
Staff members are also stationed at the Roswell Convention & Civic Center on Main Street.
“Our thoughts and support go out to all individuals and communities impacted by this ongoing crisis including the firefighters, first responders, and volunteers who are working tirelessly to contain the fires,” State Farm said on Monday.
Meanwhile, as residents are allowed back into the affected areas, State Farm teams will relocate closer to Ruidoso to provide better assistance.
The insurer also called on customers to always prioritize safety and stay informed. Additionally, policyholders are advised to keep their living expenses receipts and to file a claim if damage is sustained.
“When it is safe to do so, file a claim,” State Farm stated, addressing insureds. “Contact State Farm to get the process started – contact your agent, call 1-800-SF-Claim, go to statefarm.com, or use our mobile application.”
As of June 24 morning, the South Fork and Salt fires had affected more than 23,000 acres with zero containment, burning on Mescalero Tribal, US Forest Service land. The wildfires were discovered on June 17.
