Progressive Insurance has provided an $800,000 donation to the Trusted Choice Relief Fund.
With these funds, the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big "I") will continue to assist agents and brokers struggling to recover from flood damage, hurricane devastation, and wildfires.
Since 2007, the Trusted Choice Relief Fund has distributed millions of dollars and proved to be a lifeline for independent agency channel members who use the funds to recover and stay afloat following devastating events. In part, recent grant recipients hit by Hurricanes Helene and Milton spent the money to secure temporary housing, the replacement of equipment damaged in the storms, and to purchase essentials that traditional insurance does not cover.
Progressive president and CEO Tricia Griffith shared that independent agents remain an integral part of the business and are working tirelessly assisting mutual customers following the recent hurricanes.
“We’re committed to ensuring agents have access to immediate support so they can rebuild their lives and businesses and continue helping their clients. We encourage all agents and agency employees affected by recent disasters across the country and in need of financial support to consider applying and taking advantage of these grants,” she added
Charles Symington, Big "I" president & CEO added that the Trusted Choice Relief Fund serves as a lifeline to support independent insurance agents and their staff through the challenges a major disaster brings.
“We are grateful for Progressive’s partnership and continued generosity in supporting the fund. It’s a critical lifeline for our members who are often the ones helping others, but now find themselves in need when their workplaces or employees have been impacted. Thanks to substantial contributions like this, we can provide financial aid when and where it’s needed,” he concluded.
