Zurich Insurance Group has been recognized as one of “America’s Best Employers for Diversity” by
Forbes – the first time the magazine has made such a list.
Of the 250 US employers from across different industries that made the list, Zurich placed at 167th in the rankings. The rankings are based on a survey of over 30,000 employees, as well as an examination of employer diversity policies and diversity in executive suites and on boards.
“The Zurich team is pleased to be recognized by Forbes for our efforts to build a diverse and inclusive organization,” said Zurich North America CEO Kathleen Savio. “For us, diversity and inclusion are business imperatives for true success. We will continue to focus on and strengthen our D&I practices as we fulfill our responsibilities to our workforce, our customers and the communities where we live, work and serve.”

Forbes produced the rankings with the help of research firm Statista, which conducted the employee surveys in August 2017.
Only companies that have more than 1,000 employees were eligible for the list.
Last year, Zurich was named one of 2017’s Top Companies for Executive Women by the National Association for Female Executives. It was the second straight year the company had been recognized for the distinction. Also in 2017, Zurich was selected by
Working Mother magazine as one of the 100 Best Companies (for mothers) – the fourth straight year the company earned the honor.
