XL Catlin is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its reinsurance operations in Colombia.
“Since 1998 our talented team of experts has been focused on providing dedicated underwriting solutions to our clients in Colombia and the broader Latin American region,” said XL Catlin chief executive Asia-Pacific, Latin America & global credit and surety Peter Schmidt.
“We have established ourselves as an important business partner to our clients by providing a broad range of global reinsurance solutions. This was made possible by strong collaboration with our clients and brokers, many of whom have worked with us for the past two decades.”
The company has hubs in Bogotá, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, and Miami. XL Catlin’s team underwrites accident & health, agro casualty, aviation, credit, marine, property, and surety lines.
“Colombia has been a remarkable home for our Latin American reinsurance operations,” commented XL Catlin underwriting director and head of reinsurance in Colombia Emmanuel Jacquemin. “This year presents a great opportunity to reflect on our development in Colombia, while also of course remaining focused on the future.”
