WTW has announced the appointment of Chris Condello as the head of its new Asian risk division within Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB), North America.
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Condello has a proven track record in leading risk and sales initiatives for companies across Asia and the Pacific Rim.
Condello, who will be based in New York, joins WTW from Arthur J. Gallagher. In his previous role as a senior client executive for complex risks, Condello played a pivotal role in the establishment of Gallagher offices in India and Japan. His responsibilities included talent recruitment and the development of business protocols to facilitate growth.
Prior to this, Condello held senior roles at Marsh, where he focused on expanding the company's client base in Asia, particularly those seeking risk transfer services for international operations.
The Asian Risk Division under Condello's leadership will encompass practice groups focusing on Japan, South Korea, and the newly formed divisions for India and China. These groups aim to cater to the unique cultural and economic aspects of these markets, tailoring their approach to the distinct risk management styles prevalent in these countries. This division is expected to offer specialized services for each country, emphasizing industry-specific risks.
“Chris brings a unique skill set and background associated with developing business across various economies in Asia, including focusing on Japanese, Chinese, Indian, and South Korean companies. As we look to develop the Asian Risk Division within CRB North America, Chris will be a key figure in helping to develop and grow this business and connect our clients seamlessly across various global territories. I am excited to welcome Chris to the North American CRB team,” WTW head of CRB North America Michael Chang said.
