Wholesale insurance broker Worldwide Facilities has announced the opening of a new location in Utah, led by a newly hired veteran with extensive experience in the fields of construction, excess transportation, manufacturing, and energy.

The firm said Kyle Domire will lead the office. He previously participated in the Advanced Management Program for Burns & Wilcox and served as a senior broker in its Salt Lake City office.

“I’m looking forward to our growth in the region and service to our clients as a wholesale partner of choice,” said Domire.

“Kyle brings valuable industry expertise and contacts to the position,” said Cameron Kelly, chief operating officer at Worldwide Facilities. “He will be a strong asset to our team and clients, and we’re looking forward to the contributions he will surely make to our company.”

The firm saw gross written premiums reach $645 million in 2016, more than doubling its revenue in the past six years. It acquired Sloan Mason in May last year and Trinity Underwriting Managers (TUMI) in December, marking a major expansion into the energy and commercial transportation sectors.

Looking ahead, Worldwide Facilities president and COO Ron Austin said the firm plans to focus on increasing its value proposition by developing top talent and seeking complementary acquisitions—all designed to bring more products, services, and relevance to the retail agent and broker community.

“Organizationally, Worldwide Facilities connects deeply with its customer base through a collaborative team of specialists, ensuring that the most appropriate resources are available regardless of geography, industry, or coverage,” he said in the firm’s 2017 annual report.
