Property and casualty program carrier Transverse Insurance Group has announced two changes to its leadership team. The company has appointed John Fitzgerald as chief financial officer, while Robert Zerafa will assume the role of chief operating officer.
Prior to joining Transverse Insurance Group, Fitzgerald served as vice president, finance and controller at ProSight Specialty Insurance. He has also held roles at QBE and Ernst & Young.
“We are delighted to welcome our new chief financial officer as we continue to develop our business model and partner capabilities,” said Erik Matson, chairman and CEO of Transverse Insurance Group. “His more than 20 years of experience in the specialty insurance space will bring numerous benefits to our team.”
“I am thankful for this opportunity to join a talented and growing team of insurance professionals at Transverse during such an exciting time in our company’s development,” Fitzgerald said. “Transverse’s innovative hybrid fronting strategy, unique market position and focus on enabling success for our partners across the specialty insurance value chain make this opportunity ideal, and I am thrilled to be a part of the incredible leadership team going forward.”
“It also gives me great pleasure that Rob will transition from his role as head of operations to the firm’s chief operating officer,” Matson said. “The complement of these two highly skilled individuals with the core team only serves to further portray our desire to be known as a top-tier specialty insurance carrier with core capabilities serving the MGA/program channel.”
